Awakening the Dreamer Symposium
Facilitator and Community Leader Training
Spring 2007
The Pachamama Alliance is committed to training people who have the desire and commitment to
deliver the Symposium in their own communities and beyond. The Facilitator and Community Leader Training Program
takes participants further into the spirit and the content of the Awakening the Dreamer, Changing
the Dream Symposium, giving them the experience and support necessary to create Symposiums.
The training program consists of a preparation and study period, a three-day residential training, and a two-day non-residential "practicum" - putting on a symposium with fellow trainees. It represents a significant commitment – and those who have completed the
trainings rave about their experience of the training and of being a part of the community of those who put on Symposiums. We believe you will find it well worth your time and energy.
Prior to the in-person residential weekends there is a "preparation period" of readings,
experiences, and research during which you complete the assignments pretty much on your own schedule.
You may begin your study or preparation period at your own convenience, any time prior to the first
training weekend.
You must participate in a Symposium before being trained as a Facilitator. This training is helpful for those who host or produce Symposiums as well, but is not required. If you are interested,

The dates for the next Trainings are as follows:
Spring 2007 (Pacific Northwest):
At Bastyr University in Seattle, WA (this will be a non-residential training)
Three-Day Training (non-residential): evening of March 15 through the afternoon of March 18
Completion Weekend (non-residential): TBD
Spring 2007 (Western U.S.—near San Francisco):
At the Institute of Noetic Sciences in Petaluma, CA (40 miles north of San Francisco)
Residential Training: evening of March 22 through the afternoon of March 25
Completion Weekend (non-residential): TBD
Spring 2007 (Eastern U.S. –near New York City):
At Garrison Retreat Center in Garrison, NY (50 miles north of NYC)
Residential Training : evening of March 29 through the afternoon of April 1
