Development

Alex Morrison

Development Director

Alex holds responsibility for The Pachamama Alliance’s resource generation and fundraising activities. Alex’s work focuses on supporting individuals engaging in a deeper way with the programmatic work of Pachamama, and helping them to see themselves in a flourishing community.

“It is my personal mission to empower people to see themselves in their full magnificence. Knowing that my actions can and do make a difference, that how I show up in the world matters, is a true gift. Pachamama provides an opportunity for each of us to make that difference, to show up brilliantly in the world, and helps each of us see a new opportunity to live in right relationship with ourselves, with each other and with the earth.”

Alex has been with Pachamama since 2008. His passion for working with youth, patience with milking goats, and propensity for lively dancing give him the necessary temperament for generating resources and raising money. With years of experience in running grass-roots campaigns, managing sustainability organizations, and building homes, Pachamama is a natural place to express his close connection to and deep appreciation of the land and his fellow beings.

Cory Ervin-Stewart

Director of Major Gifts and Corporate Relations

Cory brings over 15 years of development experience to the Pachamama team. Championing for social justices, for the rights of the marginalized and for pride in one’s diverse and fluid identity–she never shies from the opportunity to educate and empower others. Spending most of her undergraduate and post graduate time serving on boards and committees supporting sustainability, animal and human rights as well as the arts- she has versed herself in fighting the good fight. Cory’s work on the Pachamama team focuses on the cultivation and stewardship of major donors and corporations to aid in the agency’s continued imperative and comprehensive presence.

“I am thrilled to join the Pachamama family and be a part of a global legacy which intertwines social justice and a true respect for nature… I am humbled by the talent, drive and compassion of those committed to the organization and look forward to my journey along side them.”

Cory balances her work life with a lot of play! Growing up her time was divided between glorious summers camping and playful winters in the snow. She enjoys traveling, cooking, live music, writing and all things pop culture and fashionable. She finds true balance and harmony when spending time with friends and family—especially her husband and spunky dog.

Upward and onward…

Dan Carney

Development Coordinator

Dan is accountable for carrying out many of the fundraising operations at TPA including processing donations, honoring donors, cultivating membership, administrating the donor database, and managing our monthly giving program.

“It was always my goal to work for an organization that was either creating social change or preserving the environment. In addition, Latin America has been a deep interest of mine for a long time, and led me to learn Spanish and study in Mexico for a year. Being at The Pachamama Alliance is great because our work involves all of those areas, and more.”

Dan majored in Global Management and Spanish at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. His studies in database management, business administration and experience working at the Study Abroad Office at UWM empower him to effectively utilize and improve our donor database. He began fundraising for The Pachamama Alliance in August of 2009. In his free time you can find him running in San Francisco, surfing at Ocean Beach, or biking throughout Marin County.
