In this tender snapshot of firefighter David Tree, and Sam, a badly burned Koala, we see the capacity for compassion and connection amidst Nature’s destruction.
Coupled with the decade long drought conditions brought on by climate change, the cause of the numerous fires that swept through Australia some years ago have been attributed to fallen power lines, cigarette butts, and other man-made materials.
If this touching photograph tells us anything, it’s that in a moment of need, a human being takes action to protect and nurture a suffering being. At The Pachamama Alliance we believe Nature is such a living being, and is in great need of people like Sam (and people like you!) to take action on behalf of a planet in need.
