Who We Are and What We Do

We are a community of many social and environmental groups emerging in the area and meet once a month. Our meetings are designed to unify the social and enviromental movements taking place by giving everyone a space to share new ideas, successes, appreciations and frustrations, plus receive and offer tons of support and hope to those working hard at creating a better world.

Our Mission

OUR MISSION - The Nebraska Pachamama Alliance Community is a group of volunteers committed to supporting the overall mission of the Pachamama Alliance. To help generate a critical mass of conscious committed people working towards an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling and socially just presence on this plant.

Our local community objectives are as follows:
    a. To educate and inspire as many people as possible through the use of the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium, GCI and Amazon Journeys.
    b. Create sustainable fundraising to help financially support the Pachamama Alliance.

Our tactics are as follows:
   a. To meet monthly with an agenda
   b. Network with as many other social and environmental groups as possible
   c. Fundraising by use of the Benevon Model

The Areas This Community Includes

Our community serves the State of Nebraska and easter Iowa.

Our Community Story

The Pachamama Alliance began in Omaha around 2006 and it has been in the last few years that we have registered as a community and are holding monthly meetings. The first Awakening the Dreamer Symposium, which was all day event, took place in 2006. Many of the attendees at that symposium became facilitators and/or were inspired to start other environmental or social justice movements here in Omaha or other parts of the country.

Our Community Activities

We hold our community meetings on the second Wednesday of the month, 11 - noon,  in the back room at Kitchen Table. We order lunch then have our meeting. Here is the link to the restaurant.   1415 Farnam Street, Omaha, NE.
