Who We Are and What We Do

The Los Angeles Awakening the Dreamer community meets about once a month in someone's home usually in Santa Monica or Culver City. We are spread out throughout the city so we don't see each other as often as we like.  We are all very committed to the mission of the Pachamama Alliance and despite the fact that we don't produce a lot of symposiums together, we each are doing the work by the way that we live our lives.

We are a diverse group.  Some of us have traditional jobs, some of us don't.  We have a few members who attend Agape church and one of our members is active with the LA Occupy Movement with the hope of perhaps giving a symposium to Occupy participants or at an event sponsored by Occupy LA.

There are a few of us who are part of Transition Town.  You can find a link to their website on our links.

Our Mission

As a community we have lots of members who love to facilitate symposiums and would be willing to do symposiums for any community or organization that would like to host us.  We can do them for small groups in a home or large groups in a public place such as a church or a business.

Some of our past activities that we are very proud of are a symposium that was organized by a few people in our community at Agape and another one of our members did a symposium via teleconference at Northrup Grumman.

Please feel free to contact us if you wish to host a symposium.

Our Community Activities

We try to meet once a month.   We are currently making moves to ignite young people through Generation Waking Up.

Contact us if you wish to get email notification of our meetings or help with new initiatives.
