"This trip is a work of art. It has everything - beauty, mystery, education and fun. And best of all, it shows you how you can make a difference in honoring and preserving our natural world."
--Nick Wolfson

Achuar Man

"While I had heard about The Pachamama Alliance's work, the trip to visit the Achuar people and experience the challenges in the developing world was as enlightening as any transformational work I have done. I am not only personally re-inspired and recommitted to making a difference, I am also profoundly aware of how we are all connected in ways we cannot imagine. This trip for me was about rediscovering purpose, passion, possibility and power in everyday life."
-- Jim Selman
Vancouver, BC

Amazon Sunset

"When I went on my first Pachamama trip last August, it changed my life. Being in the rainforest and connecting with the Achuar was transformative on many levels...Coming from the chaotic confusing world as we know it on the East coast, the rainforest provided the quiet contemplative space that allowed us to listen to our hearts and souls and to know what had always been there - such a gift."
-- Kathy M. Darien, CT

"As an avid world traveler, I can honestly say that the Pachamama Journey is an unparalleled experience that goes right to the very source of nature and human wisdom. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to go deeper into life's mystery and meaning. There's no better investment in yourself, your future and the future of our planet."

- Joan Barnes, Founder/Former CEO, Gymboree

A Soul Stirring,
Life Changing Journey

Journey with us to the heart of the natural world — the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador — and become one of a handful of people to experience a direct, intimate encounter with the Achuar, an ancient and intact dream culture. Experience the soul stirring awe of being in one of the largest untouched stands of primary forests in the world, breathing the purest, most oxygenated air possible.

Canoe down tributaries; search for monkeys, parrots and the legendary pink river dolphins; hike through the lush forest with the Achuar guiding and teaching us how they live sustainably and interdependently with their pristine rainforest home.

Have the rare opportunity to stay in both an Achuar village, where we'll be invited to participate in their daily traditions and most sacred ceremonies, and the renowned Kapawi Lodge, named one of the world's top Eco-lodges by National Geographic Adventure.

And there will be time for reflection and restoration — the perfect respite from a busy life and the ideal space for reconnecting to what's truly important. Being outside of what is familiar will give you a vast new perspective on your own culture and life.

The majestic Andean highlands will bookend the rainforest experience, allowing for a greater awareness and appreciation of the immense geographic, biological and cultural diversity of Ecuador.
