Experience the soul stirring awe of being in the heart of one of the largest untouched stands of primary rainforests in the world. Learn what it's like to live in harmony with the Earth directly from the elders and shamans of one of the world's oldest and most intact remaining dream cultures.
To be able to meet and participate in partnership with such a remarkable people, in such a miraculous place, is a rare and profound opportunity. We invite you to join us for what is certain to be an unforgettable and life-changing adventure.
Kapawi Lodge
Kapawi Lodge is the result of a unique business partnership between the Achuar and a visionary Ecuadorian tour company. Built in traditional Achuar style and located in the heart of their remote rainforest territory, Kapawi is one of the most awe-inspiring lodges on earth. It was designed to enable travelers from the modern world to visit one of the most remote and biologically diverse regions of the world, while enjoying the comfort and safety of an award-winning ecotourism facility, recognized for setting new standards for environmental and cultural sensitivity.
The Andes
Several days before and after our time in the rainforest will be spent in the majestic Andean mountain highlands. Here we will immerse ourselves in the charm, culture, and scenery of the Andes, spending our time exploring, hiking, soaking in volcanic-fed hot springs, visiting colorful outdoor marketplaces, and meeting with renowned Quechua shamans noted for their healing powers.
We invite you to join us for this adventure!

"This trip is a work of art. It has everything - beauty, mystery, education and fun. And best of all, it shows you how you can make a difference in honoring and preserving our natural world."

"While I had heard about The Pachamama Alliance's work, the trip to visit the Achuar people and experience the challenges in the developing world was as enlightening as any transformational work I have done. I am not only personally re-inspired and recommitted to making a difference, I am also profoundly aware of how we are all connected in ways we cannot imagine. This trip for me was about rediscovering purpose, passion, possibility and power in everyday life."

"When I went on my first Pachamama trip last August, it changed my life. Being in the rainforest and connecting with the Achuar was transformative on many levels...Coming from the chaotic confusing world as we know it on the East coast, the rainforest provided the quiet contemplative space that allowed us to listen to our hearts and souls and to know what had always been there - such a gift."
