We’re proud to announce that Pachamama Alliance co-founder John Perkins will be one of five activists honored as a 2012 recipient of the Lennon Ono Grant for Peace on October 9 in Reykjavik, Iceland. John is being honored for his work to establish “a world our children will want to inherit.”

Talisman Energy has announced it will cease oil exploration in the heart of Peruvian Achuar territory, a major milestone. They are the fifth oil company the Achuar have successfully resisted, but with both the Peruvian and Ecuadorean governments pursuing more bidders, the struggle does not end here.
