A Special Invitation for May 12th: Co-create Our Biggest Event Yet!

May 12, 2012 12:00am - May 14, 2012 12:00am PST

Imagine a Symposium with an audience of thousands of people all over the world simultaneously experiencing the power and impact of the Awakening the Dreamer message.

Thanks to the support of our friends at Gaiam, Inc. and the Shift Network, that’s precisely what will be happening on May 12th, when Gaiam TV will offer free online streaming of the Awakening the Dreamer DVD for 48 hours as part of the Shift Network and Sustainable World Coalition’s “Spring of Sustainability”.

We think it’s absolutely possible to have 100,000 people participate, making this the largest Awakening the Dreamer event to date. Invite your friends, family, and community to join the fun as part of the Pachamama May Month of Action and help us turn that possibility into a reality!

Additional Event Details

  • Length: The experience will last approximately 2.5 hours.
  • Streaming Window: Participate for free anytime during 48 hours, starting on May 12th.

What Makes the Awakening the Dreamer DVD Different?

The Awakening the Dreamer DVD is a filmed live Symposium delivered by two expert Facilitators. Pachamama Alliance co-founder Lynne Twist appears as the host, offering guidance for the interactive exercises throughout.

Video elements, facilitation, and interactive exercises are all built into the DVD – you can simply press “pause” and “play” when directed. Of course, if you want to do some facilitation with your guests, then you certainly can! Read our tips for hosting a DVD house party.

    What is “Awakening the Dreamer?”

Sounds wonderful and I love Lynn Twist.  What is “Awakening the Dreamer?”

  • Svisualreport

I dont understand well…please can you explain what we are suppose to do?

  • John Stephen Veitch

To answer the question “What is Awakening the Dreamer”, it’s a series of short videos linked by the facilitators to a theme, that asks us to think about the world we live in, and to “awaken” to it’s reality and it’s possibilities.

Perhaps if we were awake, we would see more clearly how we need to live our lives.  Perhaps because we are still asleep, we dream about a world that doesn’t exist, and that dream is bringing us future problems.

If we were awake, would we choose to change the dream? You have to decide.  You should know that the segments are quite short, 10 to 20 minutes.  You can easily watch it in short bursts over a couple of days.

I really don’t see the relation between the term “Awakening a Dreamer” and Video elements, facilitation, and interactive exercises as mentioned above. What is the message here? In case I missed it.
