Russell Faure-Brac is a peace researcher and advocate. He formerly worked at Stanford Research Institute analyzing weapon systems before resigning his position in protest of the Vietnam War. The events of 9/11 reawakened his interest in peace, and after ten years of study, he concluded that peace is possible. He has laid out a path on how to get there in his recently published book Transition to Peace, A Defense Engineer’s Search for an Alternative to War. He also hosts the KWMR-FM radio show Transition to Peace, blogs on his website transitiontopeace.com, and speaks to peace and civic groups across the country. He has an MS degree from Stanford University in Engineering Economics.
