As a Facilitator, I am Committed to

  • Symposium Presenter
  • Symposium Host
  • Symposium Producer

I decided to become a facilitator after attending an Awakening the Dreamer Changing the Dream Symposium in July of ’05. I was especially moved by the linking together of the three key issues of Environmental Sustainability, Social Justice and Spiritual Fulfillment into an indivisible whole (which is how things really are) and the positive, unified, “pose no enemy” approach of the Alliance.

I hope the world will be better as a result of my time on our beautiful Pachamama. I hope that humans will be preserving, not destroying the environment; caring for each other with respect, love and compassion, and that the interconnectedness and interdependence that is the truth of our existence will be reflected in our daily lives.

I've been a Facilitator since 2006. I have delivered 2 events with a total of 34 attendees.

Why I'm a Pachamama Alliance Facilitator

Many years ago, after a 10 year career as a Juvenile Probation Officer, I "retired" to become a full time wife and mother. Now I'm divorced, with two adult children and one grandchild, all of whom, luckily for me, are living in San Jose.  Over the years I've been involved in many different volunteer activities, but it is with the Pachamama Alliance that I've spent the most and longest time.  I'm fortunate to be able to be a part of the South Bay Pachamama Community, which is a very active group. We have become like family, but in some respects better, because we share like values, a love for each other,  a desire to deepen and enrich our connection to Pachamama and to work hard to bring a sustainable, just and fulfilling world into being. Things as they are, I receive much more than I give and can't imagine a better place to work for a better future for all.

Events I've hosted as a facilitator:

  • I hosted a Symposium in San Jose on April 4, 2015
  • I hosted a Getting Into Action Workshop in Santa Cruz on June 2, 2012

If I could change the world

If I could change the world I would be able to find the one thing to say to everyone that would "get their attention" and motivate them to work alongside me and others to bring sustainability, justice and fulfillment into the lives of all.
