A solidarity Immersion with indigenous women of the rainforest

Journey Overview

Please join us for this one-of-a-kind Women’s Solidarity Immersion, in partnership with The Hivery, in unity with Indigenous Women from the most biologically diverse region of our planet. This mutually supportive encounter will include intimate sharing, ancestral activities in the rainforest and villages, and sacred ceremony with Achuar women.

We will learn how we can best continue to support and learn from the women of Ikiama Nukuri while receiving the wisdom, strength, and healing to forward our own vision in the world.

About Ikiama Nukuri

Pachamama Alliance’s groundbreaking Ikiama Nukuri program aims to eliminate all preventable deaths in pregnancy and childbirth of Achuar mothers and babies, and to improve community health by empowering Achuar women and communities with the tools needed to be their own agents of change.

As a result, Ikiama Nukuri has not only greatly improved community health and birthing practices throughout the rainforest; it has also become a platform for women to find their voice and build collective power as leaders in their communities.

It is clear that this is part of the larger global movement of women’s voices and female leadership that is emerging around the globe today.
