Who We Are and What We Do
The Houston Texas Area Pachamama Community has been a loosly knit set of individuals who have trained as facilitators or attended the Awakening the Dreamer Symposium. We organized in 2013 to share ideas, resources and to extend the message for an awakended planet.
The Areas This Community Includes
The Houston area Pacha-Community includes the City of Houston, Harris County and the surrounding counties of Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Liberty, Montgomery, and Waller. We welcome people from all around southest Texas to join us as we share the mission of the Pachamama Alliance.
Our Community Story
In 2007 several community members attended an Awakening the Dreamer Symposium taught by Ingrid Martine. Since then many Houston / Woodlands area facilitators have been trained and hosted symposiums - each on their own or in small groups. Always with the support of Kathryn King from Austin and local leaders LaVerne Williams and Cath Conlon. For a number of years Donna Mosher was our guiding light as Community Coordinator who supported our fledgling efforts. After she moved on there was a period of dormancy when not much happened, although Cathy Ingham kept the flame going with periodic symposiums at the Green Planet Sanctuary. In 2012 Sheila Blake attended a leadership huddle in San Francisco with national leaders and was inspired to create regular gatherings for Houston Area Pacha People. The opportunity to make it happen came when she took it on as her class project for the Landmark Education Self-Expression and Leadership Course. With a core Wisdom Council gatherings are held periodically. Opportunities and invitations are always welcome.
Our Community Activities
Upcoming symposiums are posted for the rest of 2015.
